Therefore, it has stopped providing all types of updates, whether from Microsoft or Android, to Chinese companies. This means that mobile phones or other technologies made by China or Chinese companies will no longer receive new updates.
Google stopped providing updates to Huawei due to the U.S. government’s trade restrictions and sanctions against the Chinese company. In 2019, the U.S. government added Huawei to a trade blacklist, citing national security concerns, which prevented U.S. companies like Google from doing business with Huawei without special approval. This restriction meant that Huawei could no longer access Google’s Android updates, services, and apps like the Google Play Store.
